Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tyler Notch, a leader with over a decade of experience guiding teams to success. In my journey, I’ve managed and mentored over 170 individuals, refining my leadership skills through dedication and participation in leadership academies across the nation, including my home state of Minnesota. Recently, I’ve ventured into entrepreneurship, owning and operating two businesses in the outdoor industry. As Owner/General Manager of Alexandria Shooting Park, I lead our vision toward growth and innovation in the outdoor space. My second business, Lakes Area Arms, is a comprehensive firearm and archery shop where passion meets innovation. As Owner/Chief Operating Officer, I lead our team forward with a focus on unique products and using the passions of our employees, to help guid the shopping experience for our consumers. These ventures have not only deepened my leadership principles but have also fueled my drive for personal and professional development.
Now, let’s delve into hunting—a realm where my heart truly finds its rhythm. For over nine years, I’ve hunted across the diverse terrains of Minnesota, North Dakota, Colorado, Texas, and Montana. Yet, it’s the rugged backcountry of the Western US, where I pursue elk with a bow, that has truly captured my soul. In these wild places, I’ve faced challenges that have tested my resolve and discovered growth that has propelled me on a journey of self-discovery. This blog captures the essence of these experiences.
But beyond these passions, my life’s foundation is my family. For over a decade, I’ve been blessed with the love and support of my wife, Laura, and together we raise three incredible children: Ellie, Addie, and Brooks. They are the light of my life, and it’s with great joy that I share our family journey within this blog.
